How to succeed speaking part 2

How to succeed speaking part 2
.......................
what are the some of the DOS: that you want to do, and need to do of the speaking part,

1. Take notes/write key words
2. Cover every point
3. Point to point as you talk
4.Use personal experience or lie
5.Expand-use senses
6. Organize speech: introduction,body,conclusion
7. Imagine the object,person,place
8.Use introductory phrases-i want to talk about
9. Use transitions
10. Speak loudly.

Number one is very very important, take notes: you will be given one minute when you look at the question and you will be given a pencil and you can take notes,do it, take note. A lot of ielts students-i don't wanna take notes, it is waste of time. i know what i am going to say in my head, what happens is just speaking, they forget certain key points and they go off topic. They don't stay organized. So, your notes are very important because that keep you on topic and keep you organized.Another is very important-write key words, when you are making notes, don't bother writing sentences when you are going to say,you only have 1 minute. just write key words.Important words that help you what you want to remember what you want to say.It is very important to cover every point that is on the card.Talk point to point keeping finger on point that keep you in track and help what to say.Another, you will be asked about your own experiences-Describe like describe your teacher. It is good if you use your own experiences-but may be you never been to concert, may be you never been to sport event, questioned is asked, if this is the case,Lie,Make it up. If your friends tell a story, when you are in concert, steal friend's story. Its ok to lie, other people story on the ielts. The main thing is that you speak English. Next, expand the  your answer-if it is asked, where was the museum located-Answer: the museum was in Toronto. It is very short answer. Expand it little longer.

Another is thing, that is good idea, because questions are often about describing, it is good to use senses, when you have to describe something, imagine in your mind-better objects,of the person.Next, organize your speech, this is must, some students on ielts, they talk and talk, but not organizations.it is very good to have organizations in introduction, body and conclusion.

Use introductory topic-like,i am going to talk about my teacher, family , the most precise objects in my life.Next important point-use transitions which help to organize what you are going to say, like first of all, secondly, thirdly, finally, then, after that, these are examples of transitions. speak loudly-you don't want to mumble, you don't want to shy, you want to be confidence. so, Be confident, make eye contact, and practice talking for 2 minutes, don't cross limit, not too fast not too slow. In this section, mostly past tense is very important because you talk about past experiences.

How to succeed in speaking part 2 on the IELTS

How to succeed in speaking part 2 on the IELTS
...........................
IELTS is attached that a lot of ESL students have to take when they want to go to a Canadian university,Australian university, an English university. So, when they want to study
overseas or often time when they want to immigrate European countries. We are looking specially at the speaking part of IELTS in part 2.So, the IELTS speaking task is divided into three section. we are going to look at section 2.

Lets me first explain, what happens in section two.And then we are going to look at some tips: What you should do and things you should not do.

1.3 minutes:     a) look in the question care
b) talk for 1-2 minutes
2.Examiner will not ask you question-you speak-you speak full 2
minutes
3.Describe a museum that you have visited:
you should say: where it is?
why you went there?
what you particularly remember?

you will be speaking for about 2 minutes, this part last around
3 minutes.so, first minute, you will be handed a question card.
You can see above number as a example. This is an example, you get in different topic. But you get card something look like this. You have one minute to look at the question and to make notes and to think what i am going to say-so, that take one minute. Then, after that the examiner will tell you: ok,you can begin-you must talk 1-2 minutes.so, a lot of student considered, it is hardest part of the speaking components because it is not a dialogue. The examiner is not asking question and giving responses and you are going back and forth. In this part of the ielts, you just talk, and you talk 1-2 minutes. so, a lot of student finds difficult because talking for 2 minutes, even for native speakers is a little difficult.so,what are the some of topic-that you might be asked about in the part of ielts. Topic often covers: -precise items
-special day
-sports/concert
-special trip/journey/vacation
-people who have influence you like favorite teacher
-you might be asked a book, music,TV program, a movie
clothes items,
-sometimes you will be asked historical buildings,
-neighborhood of your city
The key thing, this question is often description, not always, usually you have to describe about it.And you usually 3
questions that can be who,when,where,when.........

How to do well in speaking on IELTS part -1

How to do well in speaking on IELTS part -1,
.....I like yoga, instead this sentence-use: i prefer yoga.
Prefer is little higher/vast word than like. It is plus point in speaking in the ilts.

Expand your answers. suppose,if examiner asked: Do you like sports? Answer: NO,  here answer just in Yes/No, is not better
because examiner can't examine your English in this case. So, you have to answer in bigger/longer.May be answer is yes/no, but expand here anyhow. For example: Where are you from? Anser: I am from Toranto, it is actually biggest city of Cananda. It is
also considered one of the most multi-cultured city in the world. Here, i don't have to talk too long, just expand few sentences more. But don't mention whole history. Don't keep talking in talking. Just think, examiner does't want very short
answer. You need to finalize your answer that is not too short and too long.He wants something in the middle.
One way to expand answer is by giving examples: Do you know
what is your favorite food? answer: yes, i like indian cuisine like pizza, bread, paratha, ladu, etc. Go on practicing your words/vocabulary with your friends/family.practice and practice, practice for confidence.

Don't: something you should not do in ielts. look the following
which you should not do.
-speak with a monotone
-give yes/no answer
-repeat the question
-go off topic
- answer i don't know
-Speak too quickly, too slowly
- speak quietly
-worry about perfect English

i have already mentioned it, don't speak  in monotone. don't speak where your voice is flat. Speak with enthusiasm.Giving answer in yes/no is horrible answer. Expand, make your answer longer, make longer even if you have to lie, its ok lie on the ietls as long as you speak, that is most important thing.
Don't repeat the question, for example: Do you have family?
answer: yes i have family. It is not good thing to do. you can
answer-yes,there are 8 member in my family with parents and sibling. It is joint family. Don't go off topic.Don't answer-i don't know-examiner ask your about yourself some questions.
You should answer it-suppose-what is your hobby/food/sports ?
you may be not sure, make it up something. Its ok at here. But
i don't know, answer is not proper. If you have indian/candian food, just make it up and say- i love indian/canadian food.

Don't speak too quickly and too slowly. What often happens with students, when they get nervous, they start to talk really really fast. Then they go a mile a minute,so fast. And don't speak quietly too,a lot students get nervous ans shy, they start to wisher, it is very difficult to examiner to hear.
Talk with confident, talk loudly,so they can hear well what
you are saying. You don't have to speak perfect English to do ielts, if you make mistake, try to correct, even native speaker too do mistake, mistake happens, just see it/try to improve later. Don't worry about perfect English because no one is perfect.

How to do well on the speaking part of the IELTS.

How to do well on the speaking part of the IELTS.

Speaking part of ielts is divided into three section.
Today, we going to look in a Section number one.
First of all, what happens in part of the ielts. And from
there we will look at something you should do, to do well and
something you should not do.so, Lets get started.

-General And Academic
- 4 to 5 minutes
- Introduction two topics
Topics: Hometown/Neighborhood
-work
-study
-Friends
-hobbies
-food
-sports

-Pronunciation,Fluency,Vocabulary,Crammer.

What happens in part one of the ielts. First of all, the speaking part of the is for both-who are taking General and Academic ielts exam. So, weather you are taking General or Academic ielts, is the same task with the same question.
At last between 4 to 5 minutes, it is made of introduction.
so, the examiner is going to introduce himself or herself. Then
you will introduce yourself.
For example: Hi,my name is Gorge, Nice to meet you

And then, examiner is going to ask you some questions,
about yourself. These questions are not difficult. Usually
about Where are you from-example what city you are born in?where you grow up? that might be work, study, about friends
hobbies,food,sports.

Now,the examiner is looking for specifically for pronunciation,fluency-do you use without stop or not,vocabulary-like good/bad are low level, you can instead
high level instead it and Crammer and accuracy like using only
present tens for the whole test or are you able to use present/past/future tense too.

What are the some of the things,we should do to get good mark
in part one in the ielts in speaking.we have a DOS: that means you want do:  Frist thing which is very important, when you
meet the examiner-if you are very nervous, and you don't make
eye contact, look at the floor, you are not going to well in
ielts, even if your English is pretty good. So, it is very important to presents yourself with confidence. If you think going to well, you are going to do a lot  better.if you think you are going to do badly, you are probably going to badly.
So, think you are going to do well and be confident,be friendly-smiling,body language is actually important in the ielts. You want to make eye contact-don't look at your feet, hands,LOok at the examiner. Another thing, a lot of students
forget is, they don't act excited when answer the questions.so,
what do you mean by this? When they talk in monotone-one should act being excited for good mark about what you are saying.
If you seem, excited, you will do better.

The next thing very important is vocabulary you use,
like    food-cuisine
friends-acquiescence
like-enjoy/prefer
using such little higher level words instead of simple word like food, friends, like, is good for good mark.

How to Succeed on Reading IELTS

How to Succeed on Reading IELTS
 lets get started,

1. Learn synonyms-Intelligent smart
2. Pay close attention to negative words (hardly, never, rarely, seldom)
3. Pay attention to frequency words-always,sometimes,often,never)
4. Stick with first answer
5. Question often follow passage order
6. Know what topic sentences are
7. Practice each question type
8. Practice outside of home
9. Be careful-word in question reading, not always correct
10.Scan backward for practice. eg; students read three passages
they get progressively harder.

The very first step is very important. When you practice in doing IELTS,when
you prepare for the ielts, one way to prepare is start learning synonyms. Now,what is
synonyms, a synonyms is the a copy of another word, meaning is same but words are
different.so, an example intelligent and smart-These are synonyms. They have same
meaning, but different words. Now,why should we learn different synonyms for the ielts
One very good reason is often times on the ielts you will have a test or reading passage
And then you will have adventures questions, now sometimes in the questions, you need to
look for certain information in the reading passage.so, you read question, and you need
to find the find the answer in the reading passage. Now one my duty is looking on keywords
you might see a key words in the question and you looking for that same word in the reading
passage but often they don't use same words in the question and in the reading passage
often times they will use synonyms.so, for example, may in the question the key word is
intelligent and in the reading passage the word, that you need to actually find
is smart. So, by synonyms, you will be able do questions a lot faster and you will be
able to find information faster and on the ielts time is very important. You want to be able to do things very quickly

My second point has to do with a lot of questions types especially, not given questions types. There is question types
called true or false or not given and there is also called yes/no,not given, these point for those. Often times, you
need to close attention to negative words-for example: hardly, never, rarely, seldom
Depending on what the question is,sometime True or false question. It is very important to look for these
words. This one of the trick you might find on the ielts. sometime you might put down
True but answer is actually false because of these negative words.so, key point-notice and pay attention to
these types of words And both the true/false and not given,And the yes/no/not given.

Point number 3: similar to number 2, it is very important to pay attention to frequency
words, especially in the same parts(True/false/not given). You might see always/often/sometimes/never. Why it is important, if you
something in true/false questions.

Point number 4: This is probably our favorite points.During test, this happen to all students.
They won't pick an answer. And then they think about it,and then see another answer And
wants to change the answer. And they don't remember, they don't know which one is right
pick. It is good to go with your first incident.so,if you do multiple choice, ok the
answer is A, and you look anything well, may be the answer is the see.if both of them seem
like good possibility, and you don't know, choose the one you thought first.

Number 5: Question often follow passage order.so, What does it mean? it means that
question one will probably be some near the top of the reading, question two will
be underneath question one in the reading. so, questions often follow passage order not
always.

IELTS 8 Reading Tips

IELTS  8 Reading Tips

Some of my top IELTS reading tips, so lets get started

1. Don't read slowly-skim main idea, scan detail

2. Don't spend too much time on an answer.

3. Spend less time on each questions.

  17 minutes-1
20 minutes-2
23 minutes-3

4. Enough time to Transfer.

5. Three words or less-eg. the tomb of pharaoh(not proper), the pharaoh's tomb(proper)

6. Spelling

7. Grammar-Singular-castle
plural-castles

8. Not reading instruction- Choose two
-Not given,yes,no

I am going to tell the model of IELTS. There will be 3 passages that  you read. And each passage have adventures questions that you have to answers. Don't spend too much time reading passages, what happens to a lot students, often they read word from  word, everything, they see word whick don't know. They keep on trying understand the meaning. You don't have to understand everything to understate the passage. If you don't't know word, that is fine. The better thing to do is,don't do slowly read for the main idea and look for key words or you look for specific details. A lot of students, what the they do for the ielts, they actually read well questions first and then they will read the passage. You don't have to do this, it is one technique. Some student find slide easier, other students like to ready passage first and answer questions. I recommend trying both out.It is time test, you have three part, you have to get through,40 questions. It is very important that you ready quickly. you can start practicing reading quickly also.Don't spend too long on each questions. some of the questions are difficult, the possible you can do well or not,you might be reading and you might think,oh what the answers. You might look at and think and try and try try, what the problem is, if you spent too much time on questions, there are 40 questions and one hour limit. Thus, test goes by very quickly.so,You can't spent too much time on each question.so, what i recommend is, read questions, try to figure out answer, if you don't know. You can put a star beside it and come back after. You can also take a guess, move on and come back later.

My third tip, spend less time on earlier questions. For the reading module, there are 3 passages, the first is the easiest, then second passage and third passage. If you spent all time on first passage, you can't have time to for  second and third.Likewise, first one is easier,so, good idea is to spend less time on first passage.

My forth tips is make sure you have enough time to transfer your answer. They will have ansher sheet, and you suppose to write your answer on it.It is very important to leave your soft time to transfer your answer from your text paper to the answer sheet.A lot of students, they work together, they work late and they realized that there is no time to transfer the answer. so, make sure, you leave time for this.

My fifth tips is, very very common error that students make.Three words or less.In the reading section also in the listening, any instructions  you often see or the words write'Three words or less'.A lot of students write to many words here. For example,if i am doing in reading on archealogy:The tomb of the pharaoh , the pharaoh's tomb. The first sentence contains 5 words, then in second 3 words.Even though,my answer was right, it is wrong sentence of many words in the ielts.so, the correct answer is the pharaoh's tomb.

Number 6 is another common mistakes students make, the spelling, a lot students forget that the  reading section also has writing components and not easy, you have to write your anshwer. You also have to spell your answer correctly. And many students unfortunately make spelling mistake. so, very important to practice spelling before to the ielts And hope you with listening section, the writing section and reading section. I can emphasize enough spelling matter. One idea is, you can get a book and an any time spell were wrong, write on book and practice those words.Have a spelling book for yourself, so you can see which words you often make mistake with.

Number 7: a lot students also make mistake with grammar. You have to use correct grammar when you answer on a questions. For example sometime:answer may be castles, students write castle only.so,you always have to be aware of grammar, the best thing to do is after you write your answer check etc if the grammar make sense-weather looking for singular or plural answer.

Finally, my last tips for today is a lot students don't read instructions properly.
It is very very big mistake to make.A lot of students, they have done lots and lots of ielt test, anything they know it, so they don't bother reading the instructions. always read the instructions, even if you have done 100 ielts test, read the instructions.Just to make sure.for example: in the multiple choice,in the reading sections, may be the question ask you to choose: two answer. And if you don't read the instructions properly, you might just pick one or may be the ask to choose three answer. So, it is very important to read the instruction properly.sometime questions ask answer in yes/no ,no in true or false.

I know you are going to well on test day.so, good luck.
